Oak Creek Wine & Spirits donates $2,500 to breast cancer coalition

November 14, 2020

Oak Creek Wine & Spirits, located on Route 9, west of Lewes, recently donated $2,500 to the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition.

Proceeds came from Oak Creek’s great wines and beads for a cure promotion in October to raise funds for breast cancer awareness.

Oak Creek donated up to $2 from every bottle of wine sold from participating wineries and distributors.

Wine partners for the promotion included, Karen and Tony Sposato, owners of Sposato Family Vineyards; Diego Lascano from Vintage Imports; Laura Lamprecht, owner of Specialty Wines; and Vince Grande, Mid Atlantic manager of M.S. Walker brands.

The Oak Creek Wine & Spirits team members were humbled to receive such an outpouring of support and generosity from the community.

Every team member contributed time and efforts individually to this fundraising event everyday.  Every day staff wore shirts purchased directly from the coalition.

Throughout the month, a total of 22 wines were beaded throughout the store. They tagged each bottle with shelf talkers stating “beads of love.” Each beaded bottle sold generated $2 to the DBCC. The contributions were split between Randy Reed, store owner, and the local wine partners!
