Ocean View man attacked with crowbar

Delaware State Police are investigating an incident involving a man, 64, who was hit with a crowbar Feb. 14 in Ocean View.

Troopers responded to a residence at 12:30 a.m. in the 37000 block of Mahogany Street for a report of an assault, and learned two men had gone to the home yelling and knocking at the door. Police said when the man opened the door, one of the suspects grabbed him and threw him to the ground, then hit him with a crowbar before the men drove away in a red car. Police said the man did not recognize his attackers. He was taken to an area hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.
