VIA opens empty house for designers preview

The Village Improvement Association began the months-long trek toward a renovated home Jan. 20 in Henlopen Acres with their annual Empty House Party. VIA members, designers and homeowners were present to preview the house before it is decorated and presented to the public in spring. The owners, Lisa and Jim Hunt, will remain in the home once the changes are made. One room over the garage is new and isn’t included in the Designer Show House. The kitchen and dining room are already under construction. Designers are Design Center of Rehoboth, Driftwood Design, Ocean Boulevard Furniture, Ferris Home Improvement, Nile Johnson Interior Design, Just Julie Design, Michael Molesky Interior Design, Dreamweaver Interiors, r-Squared Design, Bella Terra Landscaping, Erin Walls Landscaping and Weeth Home.

The rooms have been cleared and the VIA, along with the owners, has chosen the designers.
This room will become a master bedroom with en suite bathroom.
Plans for the kitchen are taped to the wall.
