Palazzo Jewelers has officially opened doors at its second location in Millsboro.
The business offers various services, including jewelry repair, custom design, sourcing fine diamonds and gemstones, bridal and engagement pieces, watch repair and professional appraisals to the local community. Their service-first approach allows customers to trust that their most meaningful pieces are handled with expertise and careful attention, said Chief Operating Officer Sergio Palazzo.
“When you’re able to take a piece that’s been worn by somebody their entire life, and you can restore that piece, bring it back to life, when the customer comes and picks it back up, I mean, it’s incredible, because they light up. A lot of them cry, and it’s a beautiful thing,” Palazzo said.
The business was founded in 2017 with its original shop, Ocean View Jewelers, in Millville. Palazzo Jewelers is rooted in numerous years of experience. Founder and CEO Ruben Palazzo, Sergio’s father, began learning the craft as a child, studying the work of his family in their workshop. His commitment to quality and skilled workmanship continues to guide the growing operation.
“My uncle came from Florence, Italy, and they brought what they learned over there,” said Ruben. “They were well known in New York, and everybody tried to get them to do their work. I started when I was 10, and my mother would tell me to go with them on the weekends and just sit there and watch.”
The father-and-son duo decided to open a second location to fulfill customer demand and their desire to offer convenient, full-service care to even more local residents. The Millsboro location quickly came together after the appropriate space became available this past fall.
“By opening the second location, we’re able to expand the company” said Sergio. “We are able to expand our horizons with offering our services to more people here, making it more convenient for people here.”
Palazzo Jewelers remains actively involved in supporting the local community through various ongoing charitable initiatives, including their long-standing support of Toys for Tots. The business’ continued efforts stem from their desire to give back to the local community that has supported them from the very beginning.
Looking into the future, Palazzo Jewelers hopes to continue to expand the company and even develop a signature jewelry line. Local community involvement and engagement will remain a priority as well.
Palazzo Jewelers is open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturdays at 25935 Plaza Drive, Unit 2 in Millsboro.
