Pitched as a social distancing social event, Revelation Brewery is hosting a fundraiser for the Parkinson’s Education and Support Group of Sussex County.

The event is scheduled to take place from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, July 30, at the brewery’s outdoor beer garden at Hudson Fields south of Milton.

More than a decade old, the Parkinson’s Education and Support Group of Sussex County provides people with Parkinson’s and their caregivers with knowledge and tools to help combat the disease.

Amanda Peters, Rise Fitness and Adventure operations director, has been hosting virtual exercise classes since all in-person classes were canceled in March. Since the pandemic began, two of Rise Fitness’ annual events supporting the group have been postponed, each of which usually raises about $10,000, she said.

Everything the organization does is paid for through donations, grants and events throughout the year, said Peters in an email.

In addition to Revelation Brewery, Sposato Wine’s Karen Sposato will be on hand hosting a wine tasting with several of the company’s Argentinian wines. The Grandpa MAC food truck will also be onsite.

Live entertainment has been scheduled from Hannah and Hunter Forest at 5 p.m., Kyle Offidani at 6 p.m. and Chris Ryan at 7 p.m.
