Patty Maull sworn in to Cape school board

‘A full-circle moment’
July 25, 2025

Patty Maull was sworn in as a member of the Cape Henlopen school board July 10. She was elected in May to the board’s District C seat.

“Being sworn in as a member of the Cape Henlopen school board is more than an honor; it’s a full-circle moment,” Maull said. “As someone who didn’t always make the best choices growing up, this milestone is proof that your past doesn’t define your future.”

Janet Maull-Martin was originally elected to the four-year seat in 2024 but stepped down. The board then appointed the Rev. Marjorie Belmont to finish out the first year of the term.

Maull will serve for the remaining three years.

“I’m grateful to the community that believed in me, and I’m committed to giving back by supporting every student, every educator and every family in our district,” she said.
