Paul Cullen drops April lineup for The Room at Cedar Grove
It’s not summer yet, but The Room at Cedar Grove in Lewes is heating up April with three sizzling acts.
The fun starts at 6:30 p.m., Friday, April 15, with Eliot Lewis of the Hall & Oates band. Hot Sauce follows at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, April 21; and Jeffrey Gaines will take the stage for two nights at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday, April 27 and 28. Wednesday’s event is already sold out.
All tickets include a a multicourse dinner with complementary wines. Partial proceeds will benefit Paul Kares, the nonprofit that Cullen and Jim Rivette founded to support aspiring chefs and musicians.
“We’ve got an amazing lineup for spring,” said chef-owner Paul Cullen, who performed with the classic rock band Bad Company. “Many of our performers have toured worldwide, and we’re so fortunate to host them in an intimate venue with great food and wine!”
According to Daryl Hall, Lewis is a musician who can do it all – a great singer, songwriter and guitarist. Hall should know. Lewis is an original member of Hall’s band and has performed on the award-winning show “Live from Daryl’s House.” Lewis has played with Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, Joe Walsh, Todd Rundgren, Train, Grace Potter, Ben Folds, Cheap Trick and Jason Mraz, to name a few. He sings and plays the guitar and keyboard. Tickets are $95.
Hot Sauce Band gets its spicy flair from frontman David Aman, who grew up in Italy and Spain, where he studied Spanish guitar. He toured Europe and lived in Texas, where he fell in love with Latin music. He now lives in Delaware. Tickets are $75.
International recording artist Jeffrey Gaines has been heralded for his soul-searching lyrics and powerful live performances, with only his voice and a guitar for accompaniment. Priced at $95 each, tickets went so fast for the April 27 event that Cullen added a second night. “Don’t wait,” he said. “Jeffrey is one of our most popular artists.”
