Payment due Aug. 31 for Sussex Central Class of 1978 40th reunion

To commemorate 40 years, Sussex Central's 1978 classmates are planning a reunion for Friday and Saturday, Sept. 21 and 22. Classmate Mike Garvilla (Snyder) will be entertaining classmates from 6 to 9 p.m., Sept. 21, for happy hour at JD Shuckers in Georgetown, at the Route 18 entrance to Walmart.

Social hour will begin at 6 p.m., Sept. 22 at the Cape Henlopen Elks, 18544 Beaver Dam Road, Lewes. At 7 p.m., heavy appetizers and cheese will be served, including a veggie tray, salad, meatballs, baked ziti and more. There will be a cash bar. Music will be provided by DJ Shermanater.

The price is $20 per person. Organizers are hoping for a beautiful weekend and anticipating that participants can gather at the beach Sunday, Sept. 23.
