Performing and culinary arts nonprofit salutes volunteers

January 16, 2026

Paul Kares recently hosted its annual holiday party to celebrate the nonprofit’s volunteers and staff at The Room at Cedar Grove, the Lewes-area entertainment venue that Paul Kares owns and manages.

A group of 55 guests attended the event, which included a buffet meal and live music performed by Paul Cullen, co-founder of Paul Kares, and Robbie LaBlanc.

During the evening, Cullen and fellow co-founder Jim Rivette, president of Paul Kares, presented Volunteer of the Year Awards to the following recipients: Dennis Groom, Special Events Award; Fran Simeone, Development Award; and Pattie Cinelli, The Room at Cedar Grove Award.

“Thanks to our volunteers and the team at Paul Kares, we had our best year to date,” Rivette said. “We hosted international and local talent, and supported aspiring musicians, chefs, and the schools that train them. Since our founding, we’ve awarded more than $70,000 in grants.”

The nonprofit supports young culinary and performing artists through mission-based programs and community events, including live music experiences.
