PETA should target overbreeding

December 16, 2025

I understand PETA wants Delaware to pass legislation requiring dogs to be walked three times a day. This needs to be evaluated by each individual situation. You don’t want more dogs to be abandoned, as many are now, probably because owners don’t have money to feed them. So it has its good and bad points.

The point they need to present is to stop unnecessary, excessive breeding and bringing in more animals just for money. Do they have regulations requiring a pup be treated to prevent further pups before change of ownership? Then, if they will use the pup to breed later, it is documented, and the rules are there for them to follow. There is no more overbreeding and disposal of excess litters not sold.

Pet ownership needs to be a privilege and responsibility. If rules are not followed, there will be consequences.

Let’s help the many animals being abused, abandoned, starved, left to die. And since they only have us to survive, let’s help them to do that.
