Phyllis M. Blackway, retired bank teller
Phyllis M. Blackway, 75, of Millsboro, formerly of Sarasota, Fla. and New Castle, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes.
Phyllis was born in Wilmington, Dec. 11, 1940, daughter of the late Phillip and Katherine (Koons) Morse. She was a graduate of A.I. DuPont High School in Wilmington, and worked for several years as a bank teller with WSFS bank, retiring in 1995 and moved to Florida in 1996.
Phyllis enjoyed golfing, traveling all over the United States and taking 18 cruises in her lifetime. She will be forever remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Larry Blackway; three children, Christine Martin and her husband Eric of Millsboro, Scott Blackway of Frederick, Md. and Kathy Blackway of New Castle; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, April 30, at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, where friends and family may call after 2 p.m. Interment will be private.
