Preserve Our Park Coalition thanks supporters

November 18, 2022

The Preserve Our Park Coalition would like to extend a huge thank you to the over 250 participants who braved the cold and windy conditions to march for the park Nov. 13. A special thank you to the Lewes Police Department for providing us additional safety measures as well as the 20 yellow-vested volunteers who helped to make our event safe and fun for everyone. We would also like to thank our speaker, Kevin Lynam, for his wonderful speech, the Jolly Trolley for shuttle service, Delaware River and Bay Authority for security and parking. Most importantly, a huge thank you to the concerned citizens who proved how much we care about the preservation of our beautiful park. This truly demonstrates how passionately we all believe that our park should remain the quiet, pristine, protected natural place that we all know and love. Nature will thank you back.

Christine Besche, Preserve Our Park Coalition president
Co-chairs Elaine Simmerman and Gail Van Gilder
