Ravens football falls to Middletown 37-7 in DIAA semis
After the Ravens came off a powerful performance in the 33-27 win over the 2013 state champion Salesianum and the Cav's 31-17 loss to Sallies in the final game of the regular season, the Ravens' fans were hoping for a win at Middletown and a spot in the DIAA State Championship game at Tubby Raymond Stadium.
But, it was not to be as the Sussex Tech football squad's season came to an end Friday night in a 37-point offensive performance by the Cavaliers. The final score was 37-7 with the Ravens scoring on an 84-yard run by Kani Kane with just 4:11 left in the contest.
Kane finished the season with over 2,400 yards and 26 touchdowns.
The Ravens finished their season 10-2 and the Cavaliers, now with a 9-2 record, will face undefeated William Penn for the 2014 DIAA State Championship Saturday, Nov. 29. The game will kick off at 5:30 p.m. at UD.
