Raymond Harold Brown Jr., adored his granddaughters

September 29, 2020

Raymond Harold Brown Jr., 61, of Bridgeville passed away Monday, Sept. 21, 2020 at his home.  He was born in Riverhead, N.Y., April 4, 1959, son of the late Raymond H. Brown Sr. and Betty Lorraine McCabe.

Mr. Brown was a proud veteran, having honorably served in the U.S. Navy.  He had many varied and different interests.  Mr. Brown was very holistic, preferring to treat medical issues and maladies with natural remedies.  He was a lifelong New York Mets fan, even after moving to Delaware.  Mr. Brown was an animal lover, and enjoyed trance and house music.  He was exceedingly intelligent, extraordinarily strong, very responsible and independent, and enjoyed his solitude.  Above all, Mr. Brown cherished time spent with those he held most dear, especially his granddaughters, who were the apples of his eye.  He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Brown is survived by his children: Raymond Samuel Brown, Taylor Michelle Wolferd, Courtney Desirae Wolferd and Devin Carter Brown;  and his granddaughters, whom he loved beyond words:  Jillian Ann Wolferd Smith, Aurora Elizabeth Weaver and Bella Alessandra Wolferd Smith.

Services will be private.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, Bridgeville.

Please visit Mr. Brown's Life Memorial Webpage and sign his online guestbook at www.parsellfuneralhomes.com.
