Read Aloud Delaware thanks supporters

January 31, 2023

The staff, Sussex County Committee members and volunteers of Read Aloud Delaware would like to thank the area restaurants who provided us with fundraising opportunities over the few months by hosting dine and donate events.

Many thanks to Neilia Dolan at Crust and Craft for her help in organizing the October event and to Susan Allen for facilitating the December event at Fins.

A heartfelt thanks, also, to Kelly Small at Nicola for planning the most recent dine and donate event there.

We would like to recognize the efforts of Read Aloud Delaware board of directors member Betsy Plowman for her assistance in fostering Read Aloud Delaware’s partnership with these local restaurants.

The monies raised by these events will help to support the mission of Read Aloud Delaware to create a lifelong impact through early childhood literacy. The vision is that children across Delaware will have the fundamental literacy skills to succeed in school and life. Both our LENA Start and Volunteer Reading programs are aimed at fulfilling that goal.
