Rebecca Tam joins Horizon Philanthropic Services as senior associate
Rebecca Tam, a professional consultant with more than 20 years of experience in the nonprofit consulting field, has joined Horizon Philanthropic Services as its newest senior associate.
Relocating from California with her husband, Dr. David Tam, Rebecca brings significant expertise and knowledge of nonprofit operations to Horizon's Delmarva clients, which currently include Fort Miles Museum's Oil Still Bleeds exhibit, Energize Delaware, Delaware Agricultural Museum, Greater Lewes Foundation, Sussex Montessori School, Home of the Brave, Talbot Interfaith Shelter, Springboard Shelter, St. Peter's Episcopal Church and others.
Since 2006, Rebecca has been building partnerships and alliances among individuals, corporations and government entities with nonprofits, schools and municipalities across the United States, and she is committed to helping promote social good through her work. She specializes in development, marketing and leadership strategy. She works collaboratively with clients to learn about branding and leadership goals to create content that resonates, whether it is proposals for funding/donors, proposals for corporate partnerships, press releases, marketing materials, web content, e-marketing content, executive summaries, strategic plans or blog posts. Rebecca's passion is bringing resources into her community to improve the lives of her neighbors.
Tam is now part of the Horizon team that includes Heidi Nasstrom Evans, PhD, a professional researcher, curator and copywriter; Mark Chura, chief operating officer of Horizon Construction Services; Terri Malewski, office and operations manager; Chuck Ward, campaign associate; and Michael Rawl, Horizon founder and principal.
Formed in 2000, Horizon Philanthropic has raised nearly $110 million for its clients over the past 21 years, in addition to providing numerous other services, including nonprofit and foundation formation, research projects, historic preservation projects, recruitment, fundraising events and appeals, public and private grant solicitations, public relations and copywriting, and strategic planning.
Horizon Construction Services was formed in 2015 to provide a high-quality, cost-effective alternative to nonprofit organizations undertaking capital projects.
