Rehoboth Art League basket-weaving class set March 18
Rehoboth Art League will host a workshop on the art of basket weaving from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, March 18.
Artist Heidi Wetzel will show students how to weave with colorful reeds and complete a beautiful basket. All tools and materials will be provided. All ability levels are welcome. The cost of the all-day workshop is $85 per person.
An award-winning fiber artist and basket weaver, Wetzel originally came to the U.S. from Germany as a teenager; she now lives and works in Easton, Md. She uses unique and indigenous materials, as well as supplies she brings back from her many travels. Her work can be seen at various local studios.
