Rehoboth Art League online watercolor classes set May 18, 20

The Rehoboth Art League will offer Exploring Watercolor with Gerilynn Gaskill: Salt Marshes, for beginner and intermediate painters, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Monday, May 18. This online class is a watercolor demonstration and paint-along.

Gaskill will demonstrate watercolor tips and techniques while she paints salt marshes. Then, while participants paint their own salt marsh scenes from photographs, Gaskill will assist with any painting questions. The cost of the class is $30 per person.

Local artist Myndi Smithers will teach Watercolor Techniques for Beginners from 1 to 3 p.m., Wednesday, May 20. This online class is for true beginners who want to have fun while learning basic skills to paint with watercolors. Participants will do exercises to learn basic brushstroke techniques and methods for watercolor application. Experimentation will be encouraged. The cost of the class is $30 per person.

All registered students will receive an invitation by email the day before the class with a link to join the class on Zoom. To use Zoom, students need an internet-connected computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone and a webcam or built-in camera on the computer as well as a computer microphone.
