The Village Improvement Association held its 13th Annual Golf Outing Sept. 19 at The Peninsula Golf and Country Club. Forty-four men and forty-three women made up the 87 participants. “We had a marvelous day for golf. It was a great day with cool temperatures and little wind,” said Event Chair Shirley Fleegle. “The Peninsula setting with the rolling greens and views of the bay was ideal, as were the facilities for the pre- and post-event activities. The committee wants to commend the entire staff for their assistance and hospitality especially Troy Flateau, Mike Rushin, R. J. Willoughby, and Sean Monaco.”
