Rehoboth Beach has announced an inaugural photo competition called Rehoboth Reflections, with the winning submissions to be featured in the city’s 2022 printed calendar.

According to an Aug. 5 press release, the competition is open to amateur and professional photographers, and because it’s a 12-month calendar, the city is looking for pictures of Rehoboth Beach in all seasons.

“We see so many great photos of our community being shared across social media platforms, and we thought that hosting a photo competition would be a fun way to further share and celebrate some of those photos and the places, events, and people that make Rehoboth such a vibrant community,” said Lynne Coan, city spokesperson. “We plan to use the winning photos in our 2022 calendar, and we hope that residents and visitors will share photos of Rehoboth Beach from all seasons.”

The city’s website says, ideally, photos will have been taken during the past two years within Rehoboth Beach city limits. Entries may include nearby local amenities, but should not clearly represent another community.

Competition guidelines: Submission deadline is Tuesday, Sept. 14; only digital photos accepted; limit of three entries per photographer each year; photos must be saved and named using this format: Photo Title_Photographer’s Full Name.

Photo submission specifications: JPEG format; high resolution (300 pixels per inch); canvas size should be 9-by-11.5-inches; photo cropped horizontally as it should appear in the calendar.
