Rehoboth Beach’s bulk trash is full of treasures
Rehoboth Beach held its annual bulk trash pickup over the course of the past two weeks, and an industrious individual looking to turn someone else’s trash into treasure probably could have done so if they wanted.
There’d be some sifting through junk for sure, but big and little gems were out there to be found. From couches ready-made for a summer apartment of college kids in Dewey Beach, to beach toys that appear to still be usable, but no longer have little kids to use them, the possibilities were many.
Traditionally, the city holds the annual bulk pickup the last week of April on the south side and first week of May on the north side. A quick safety tip to the property owners who live in the area that’s having its trash picked up the second week – if items are left outside the first week, but the city is picking up items on the other side of town, it’s obvious that no one is home.
