Rehoboth chocolate festival canceled
Editor’s Note: In the interest of public safety, the board members of the Harry K Foundation have announced the cancellation of the 30th Annual Rehoboth Beach Chocolate Festival, which was slated for Saturday, March 14. Further information will be provided as available.
The Harry K Foundation has announced that tickets for the 30th Annual Rehoboth Beach Chocolate Festival are now available. This year's event will begin with the first tastes at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 14, at the Atlantic Sands Hotel and Conference Center in Rehoboth Beach. The awards ceremony will start at 1:30 p.m.
Dozens of local bakers from coastal Delaware's finest restaurants will bring their best chocolate treats for this year's event. Local celebrity judges will be on hand to help decide the best in category and best of the best. There will be nine judged categories: Brownie, Cake, Candy, Chocolate Beverage, Cookie, Ice Cream, Pie, Other and Showpiece (non-edible). Ribbons will be awarded for first, second and third place in each category.
Tickets for this fun family event start at $25, and all proceeds will go to the Harry K Foundation in support of its mission to ensure that no child in Delaware goes to bed hungry.
