Rehoboth fire company supports local children in need

December 17, 2025

Through its Stuff-a-Truck program, the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company collected holiday gifts for 23 children from eight families within the Cape Henlopen School District, ranging in age from 8 months to 14 years old.

The fire company also donated 877 toys, 120 stocking stuffers, 75 books, 237 stuffed animals and 10 bicycles to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program for the 2025 holiday season.

Completing its third year, the  RBVFC Stuff-a-Truck Toys for Tots effort was led by Clara Marie MarshalI, career staff assistant supervisor, and RBVFC mascot Sparky with assistance from the EMS career staff and volunteer firefighters.

Organizers extend thanks to local partners who hosted events and placed collection boxes within their businesses, and to generous community members who donated.
