Rev. John C. Justice, Millsboro native
The Rev. John C. Justice, son of the late Wilroy and Henrietta Justice, was called from the church militant to the church triumphant Thursday, June 14, 2012, at his home in Roselle, N.J. John was the seventh of 16 children; he was born in Millsboro July 25, 1951.
He received formal education in the Millsboro school system and received his bachelor of science degree in sociology from Delaware State University. He often adorned his blue and white as a proud member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. John received the call to preach in November 1978 at Murphy AME Church, Chester, Pa. After that, he received his master of divinity from the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Ga.
In memory and celebration of his life, John cherished a legacy of love to his darling wife of 26 years, Dejeonge; daughters, Chenita, Genee and Kristin; eight brothers; five sisters; six grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law and sisters-in law; and other extended family members and friends. John was predeceased by his parents Wilroy and Henrietta; brother, Clarence; and sister Connie.
Services will be held Wednesday June 20, at Dickerson Chapel AME Church, 165 S. DuPont Hwy., Millsboro, with viewing 10 a.m. and funeral at noon.
