Revive Hydration Drip Bar opens on Forgotten Mile

Vitamins, electrolytes and antioxidants are on the menu at the Revive Hydration Drip Bar now open on the Forgotten Mile.

Co-owners Tania Pritz and Matt McKinnis said the registered nurse-administered IV therapies and vitamin injections are great for people seeking general wellness, before or after exercise, and even for hangovers.

“A woman who was green literally bloomed in front of our eyes,” Pritz said. “We feel like it’s a concept whose time has absolutely come.”

The therapies and injections are the most efficient way to hydrate the body and absorb vitamins because they directly enter the bloodstream, Pritz said.

“It’s very important to note that we do operate under the direction of a medical director and only hire registered nurses to perform our infusions,” Pritz said. “We very much value our connection to the local community, and feel it is a privilege to serve our neighbors.”  

Mobile services are also available.

“If someone is not feeling well enough to come to us, we can go to them,” Pritz said. “A lot of people schedule in advance for bachelor/bachelorette party weekends, weddings and vacation weeks.”

The process is simple, Pritz said. After the nurse takes a brief medical history, clients select an IV from the menu and take a seat. The IV will be prepared and the arm will be sterilized before the IV is placed. The treatment takes about an hour; vitamin injections take minutes. 

“Client safety is our first priority,” Pritz said.

Athletes can replenish electrolytes and other nutrients lost during workouts, vegans can get weekly B12 injections, and hydration IV therapy can also provide energy boosts, she said.

Nutritionists and urgent care centers have recommended patients in need of nutrients and hydration, Pritz said. Although Revive is staffed by a medical director and registered nurses, it is not a medical clinic, she said, but rather an optional place for people to go to get hydrated and vitamins.
