Right Balance Pilates opens studio in Lewes

July 9, 2017

The Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce welcomed Right Balance Pilates to the resort community with a ribbon cutting June 28.

Right Balance Pilates opened its studio at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. in Lewes in the Plantations community over the winter, offering group reformer and mat Pilates to local residents and travelers alike. This month, Right Balance added to its list of offerings by launching a float program in the outside pool area. This unique fitness class is conducted on tethered floating boards and can include classic Pilates and yoga movements, as well as high-intensity interval training.

Owner Carin Langen followed her vision to bring Pilates to Lewes so people of all ages and fitness levels could come together in a comfortable and inviting environment. Right Balance offers group reformer, mat and float Pilates classes. It welcomes clients of all experience and fitness levels to join the classes and receive the ultimate core-strengthening workout. Most clients find going three to four times a week increases their strength, balance and mobility within a few weeks and helps build long, lean muscles.

"Pilates offers health benefits well beyond an increased fitness level. Our contemporary Pilates classes will build core strength, dramatically increase balance and flexibility, and prevent injury in all stages of life. Pilates has been known to improve everyday physical activities such as golf, tennis and swimming," says Langen.

Private group sessions are available for up to 10 in the reformer or mat studio, and up to four in the float class. Group sessions have been popular with area businesses, girls/guys nights out or neighborhood gatherings. Classes are held seven days a week at varying times throughout the day.
