Robert Arlie Hatfield, had passion for gardening
Robert Arlie Hatfield, 88, of Lewes passed away Sunday, Nov. 7, 2021, at Atlantic Shores Rehabilitation & Health Center, in Millsboro. He was born Aug. 7, 1933, in Manchester, Ohio, son of the late Raymond and Nellie (Cobb) Hatfield.
Mr. Hatfield proudly served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a manager for Washington Gas Light Company and was a Mason. Mr. Hatfield had a passion for gardening. Most of all, he cherished the love and time spent with his family.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hatfield was preceded in death by his brother, Russel Hatfield. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Mary Elizabeth Hatfield; his daughter, Elizabeth Talento and her husband Rick; his son, Michael Hatfield and his fiancée Lisa Lannon; grandchildren: Ryan Talento, Zachary Talento, Rachael Talento and Ethan Hatfield; and his brother, Jerry Hatfield.
A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 16, at 11 a.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, where friends may visit beginning at 10 a.m.
Interment will be held Wednesday, Nov. 17, at 11 a.m., at the Epiphany Cemetery, 3111 Ritchie Road, District Heights, Md. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing protocols must be observed and masks must be worn by everyone participating in any aspect of the service.
