Robert R. “Bob” Hoebee of Milton died Monday, March 13, 2023, just two weeks shy of his 81st birthday.
Bob was born in Paterson, N.J., to the marriage of Ralph and Mary Hoebee, but was raised in Milton. He was a graduate of Milton High School and Goldey-Beacom College, excelling in basketball for both schools. He served six years in the Delaware Army National Guard. Bob spent most of his career as an accountant but also worked briefly for Food Lion prior to his retirement.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother John.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sandra; his daughter, Shawnn Hudson and her husband Jerry; his granddaughter, Rebecca Hudson, all of Milton; as well as his sister-in-law, Natalie Hoebee; nephew, David Hoebee; and niece, Melissa Hoebee, all of Pennsylvania.
A private memorial will be held in the future.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Milton Fire Department EMS, 116 Front St., Milton, DE 19968.
