Ronald E. Wyatt Sr., veteran, man of deep faith
Ronald E. Wyatt Sr., 80, of Seaford, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, April 3, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Ron was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather, as well as a faithful servant of God. He was a proud U.S. Army Special Forces veteran, serving his country with honor as a Green Beret. After his military service, he worked for DuPont and then managed Dukes Lumber Company in Seaford. During this time, he served as a Gideon. He left Dukes Lumber Company in 1988 after being called into the ministry. With his wife, Mary Ann, he started Morning Star Ministries Inc., and to afford him the opportunity to serve the Lord through this ministry, he spent many years as a dedicated chicken farmer, providing for his family with hard work and humility.
Above all, Ron was a man of deep and unwavering faith. He was an ordained minister, and he served first as the pastor of Morning Star Fellowship Church and then the visitation pastor for Crossroad Community Church. Ron also participated in short-term mission trips to Jamaica. He was always eager to share the love of his Lord and Savior with others. He was known as a true prayer warrior – his prayers were powerful, spirit-filled, and unforgettable. When speaking about his faith and the Lord, he would often become joyfully overcome, proclaiming, “Glory!”
Ron was a quiet, humble, and gentle man whose life reflected the love of Christ in all he did. He loved his family deeply, especially his beloved wife of 63 years, Mary Ann, who was truly the love of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roma and Esther Wyatt, and a brother, James Wyatt.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann; his children, Ron Wyatt Jr. (Kim), Richard Wyatt, Renee’ Greene (Kevin) and Rhonda Gonzalez (Eli); his grandchildren, Resa Hoover, Brittany Foster (Ben), Amber Wyatt, Amy Turnmire, Josh Wyatt, Daniel Wyatt (Nicholesha), Heather Fryar (Tim), Jonathan Wyatt (Jamie), Micah Gonzalez (Lauren), Elyssia Lankford (Kody), Cali Greene and Natalie Greene; his great-grandchildren, Austin Wyatt, Chloee Fryar, Kyliee Fryar, Lexi Foster, Landon Hoover, Chloe Evans (Jake), Aubrey Hoover, Gavin Turnmire, Aleya Foster, Keziah Wyatt, Kylynn Wyatt, Gabriella Wyatt and Kallum Lankford; his great-great-grandchild, Kashton Evans; and his adopted family, Nick, Brittany and Harper DiSalvo. He is also survived by his sisters, Dorothy Wheatley, Lee Milam, Patricia Walls (Bob), Wendy Crutchfield (Gary) and Sandy Hicks (Tom); sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Beverly and Mike Wright; and many nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of dear friends.
Ron will be remembered as a hero of the faith – a man who loved the Lord wholeheartedly and served him faithfully throughout his life. His legacy of prayer, humility, and devotion will continue to live on in all who knew and loved him.
