Rosa Health breaks ground on new Georgetown center

October 8, 2024

Rosa Health Center broke ground Sept. 24 on a new addition and renovation to the center’s Georgetown facility.

The new facility will include eight private exam rooms, a vitals room, nurse station, providers office, a new laboratory room and a waiting room. Additionally, the center will feature a new conference room, designed to host health education classes, empowering patients to take a proactive approach to their wellness. The current facility only has two exam rooms to try to serve 2,000 patients annually.

The Rosa Health Center is named for Sister Rosa Alvarez, a founder of La Esperanza, who died in 2019. The center aims to bring an old-style family doctor approach to healthcare with treatment provided to underserved families in Sussex County.
