Rotary drive and Love INC support neighbors in need
The Lewes-Rehoboth Beach Rotary Club recently hosted its annual Stuff the Bus donation drive to benefit Love INC of Mid-Delmarva and Love INC’s Code Purple ministry.
Despite freezing temperatures Feb. 7 in Lewes, Rotarians and community members collected food, blankets and essential supplies that will directly support individuals and families experiencing hardship across Sussex County. The bus quickly filled with generous donations that will help Love INC continue providing critical food and resources to neighbors in need.
The contributions play an important role in sustaining Love INC’s year-round efforts to meet both immediate and long-term needs. Each year, Love INC serves over 20,000 meals to those facing food insecurity while working through case management and partnerships to prevent more than 1,000 individuals from experiencing homelessness. The organization has also helped 67 clients transition out of homelessness into stable housing. Donations will strengthen Love INC’s Code Purple emergency shelter ministry and other gap ministries, ensuring vulnerable community members receive compassionate care and practical support.
Following the event, Rotarians delivered the collected items to Love INC’s Seaford facility for volunteers to distribute throughout Sussex County.
