With the summer season at about the midway point, the City of Rehoboth Beach has been delivering on its promise to serve up toe-tapping, sing-along, fun family entertainment every summer weekend in the Nation’s Summer Capital.
The upcoming weekend’s performers demonstrate the quality and variety of the bandstand summer lineup.
The stage will be set for Satisfaction/The International Rolling Stones Show at 8 p.m., Friday, July 23.
Satisfaction is an international touring tribute to the Rolling Stones. The likenesses of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and cast bring a colorful performance to more than 50 years of classic hits. Satisfaction has been featured in Rolling Stone, Showbiz, Las Vegas Today, and “CBS Sunday Morning.”
One of the summer’s most popular and entertaining groups, ‘70s Flashback – The Soundtrack of a Generation, makes an annual return to the Rehoboth Bandstand at 8 p.m., Saturday, July 24.
Comprising seven veteran musicians, ‘70s Flashback pays tribute to the greatest groups and artists of the decade and, through the group’s true passion for the music, brings that original excitement to a new generation and those who experienced it the first time.
The weekend will close on an energetic note and party vibe when Legacy cranks up the tunes at 8 p.m., Sunday, July 25.
“This year’s lineup has been a work in progress for the last two years,” said Corey Groll, bandstand program director. “We’re thrilled to have the music and audience back in Rehoboth Beach. With such a range of talented musicians and entertainers, each weekend brings a fresh, fun musical experience to the bandstand. We hope all of our visitors – and residents – are able to enjoy the free entertainment that the City of Rehoboth offers during the summer months.”
All concerts are sponsored by the City of Rehoboth Beach, are free, and begin at 8 p.m. The Rehoboth Beach Bandstand Summer Concert Series continues through Saturday, Sept. 4.
