New Sea Witch balloon puts a spell on Rehoboth Beach

After a day of wind and rain, the 31st annual Sea Witch Festival Parade on Oct. 30 filled the streets of downtown Rehoboth Beach. A large crowd, many who parked overnight and returned to their vehicles to party, lined both sides of Rehoboth Avenue.
Sally the Sea Witch balloon was retired in 2019, and her replacement received a warm welcome.

The Woodland String Band from Philadelphia is always a show-stopper during the parade. The Mummers also performed on the Boardwalk during the day.
The festival’s newest character, Lobster Monster, sits atop the Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce electric vehicle.
