The Delaware Seashore Parrot Head Club hosted its 20th annual Boat Drinks Bacchanal, this year raising money for the Surfgimp Foundation. The event was hosted May 18 at Northbeach in Dewey Beach. A few hundred people attended the event, which included a silent auction, raffle prizes and more.

The Delaware Seashore Parrot Head Club is a nonprofit founded in 1996, whose purpose is to assist in community and environmental concerns. For more information, go to deseashorephc.com.

Jeff Miller, club president, said it will take a few weeks to close out the event’s books and pay receipts, but he said the club anticipates presenting a check to Surfgimp Foundation with the proceeds from the event during its next meeting, June 21.

Surfgimp Foundation provides grants for people with disabilities who, like former Milton resident and quadriplegic surfer Jay Liesener, want to experience their dreams, as Liesener did before his death. For more information on Surfgimp Foundation, go to teamsurfgimpfoundation.org.
