Seashore Parrot Heads set Boat Drinks Bacchanal May 16 in Dewey

Ticket prices discounted until May 10
April 26, 2015

Delaware Seashore Parrot Head Club will hold its 16th Boat Drinks Bacchanal from 12 to 5 p.m., Saturday, May 16, at Northbeach in Dewey Beach. This is the club’s annual major fundraising event, and the Georgetown Chapter of the Delaware SPCA is this year's beneficiary. The Delaware SPCA does not receive federal funding, and there is no national SPCA so it must rely primarily on local donations to carry on lifesaving work for animals.

The Delaware Seashore Parrot Heads are excited to have Jimmy and the Parrots back again to headline the entertainment. This popular party band is one of the most requested Jimmy Buffett cover bands in the country. Fronted by Jimmy Maraventano, this high-energy band gets the fun started with the very first song. They perform at Parrot Head events nationwide as well as other events that want a fun and talented musical group. In 2014 Jimmy and the Parrots were featured entertainment for the Cape Henlopen State Park 50th anniversary celebration with a performance at the parade grounds. They perform all the great Buffett songs, classic rock and roll, and original songs written by lead singer/guitarist Maraventano. Attendees should wear dancing shoes. For more information on the band, go to www.jimmyandtheparrots.com.

Tickets for the event are $50 until Sunday, May 10, and $60 thereafter. There will be merchandise raffles, a silent auction, a photo attraction and 50/50 raffles. Attendees must be aged 21 and over. Tickets include live entertainment, open bar and giveaways. Northbeach will have food specials for purchase. This event draws Parrot Heads and other fun-loving folks who like to party with a purpose from all over the East Coast. Purchase tickets online at www.eventbrite.com or mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope and check payable to DSPHC, PO Box 273, Nassau, DE 19969.
