Seemans named Delaware Principal of the Year

Dr. Sterling Seemans, principal of Springer Middle School in the Brandywine School District, has been named the 2026 Principal of the Year by the Delaware Association of School Administrators.

He is the son of Milton residents Jeff Seemans and Pam Bounds.

With more than a decade of experience in school administration, Seemans is recognized for his commitment to servant leadership and his belief in the potential of every child. He emphasizes the importance of strong relationships built on mutual respect, prioritizes the safety of students and staff, and supports students academically, socially and behaviorally through a comprehensive, multi-tiered system of support.

Seemans’ leadership continues to foster a school culture where students and staff thrive.
