Shields announces spelling bee champion

Correctly spelling the word “rosette” earned Dorothy DeShazo first place in the Shields Elementary spelling bee Jan. 24. After homeroom competitions, a group of 10 students made the finals. Chloe DeForrest earned the runner-up spot.
