SoDel to handle food, beverage for Bayside Resort Golf Club
SoDel Concepts will handle all food and beverage outlets at the Carl M. Freeman Company’s Bayside Resort Golf Club, including The Cove Bar and Grille, the restaurant that overlooks the 18th green.
“We’re thrilled to partner with the best restaurant group on the East Coast, SoDel Concepts,” said Michelle Freeman, president and CEO of the Carl M. Freeman Companies. “Ultimately, the Freeman Companies are always engaged in the pursuit of excellence. In this instance we have found it, and we’re thrilled to bring that excellence to the members and customers at Bayside Resort. We know golfers and diners have many choices on the shore for food and golf. We believe that this move will make the choice of where to play and eat super clear.”
SoDel Concepts is best known for owning eight restaurants along the Delaware coast, Plate Catering and, most recently, Big Thunder Roadside Kitchen, a food truck. However, the company’s hospitality management arm has a long history of serving clients from Pennsylvania to Virginia.
“We’re excited to partner with one of the most prestigious companies in the region and to offer our team yet another opportunity to use their considerable skills and talents,” said Scott Kammerer, president and CEO of SoDel Concepts. “This partnership illustrates our commitment to grow our company and make it stronger.”
Award-winning corporate chef Ronnie Burkle and SoDel Concepts chef Scott Veselli, who both recently cooked at the James Beard House, will create new menus for the restaurant and dining facilities that showcase SoDel’s mission to deliver “beautiful, simple, delicious food and use locally sourced produce, meat and fish whenever possible,” Kammerer said.
The aim of this partnership is not only to make The Cove at Bayside the go-to restaurant of its many residents and members, but to make it a destination for all area residents and vacationers. “We know we have the most beautiful community and facility in the area,” said Freeman of the Bayside Community and The Cove Restaurant. “We know that partnering with SoDel Concepts will elevate the quality of the food to match the beauty of the restaurant and the community. It will make our restaurant another must-try for foodies visiting the culinary coast.” For more information, go to sodelconcepts.com.
