A solo exhibition of paintings by local artist Leslie Ruhe Lesko will open Tuesday, Sept. 30, at the Dover Public Library.
A meet-and-greet reception is set for 1 to 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 12, at the library, 35 Loockerman Plaza, Dover.
A self-taught painter and photographer, Lesko has lived in Lewes since 1986. Her favorite painting and photography subjects include macro views of flowers, intimate portraits and abstracts. Lesko was honored to receive a merit award for her painting “Baby Ballerina” in the 2025 Delaware Watercolor Society exhibit at the Lewes Public Library.
The Delaware Division of the Arts awarded an opportunity grant to support conservation framing for the show, which will continue through Saturday, Nov. 29.
Lesko is an active member of the Rehoboth Art League, Mispillion Art League, the Developing Artist Collaboration, Cape Artists Gallery and the Art League of Ocean City, Md.
