Sons of American Revolution scholarship entries due March 15

The Caesar Rodney Sons of the American Revolution chapter announced scholarship entries are due by Monday, March 15.

Seniors in good standing at high schools in Kent and Sussex counties are invited to apply. Two $500 scholarships, one each, will be awarded to a graduating boy and girl who have been accepted and are to be enrolled in an accredited two- or four-year college or university beginning in the fall term of the 2021-22 academic year. High school seniors living outside the area who are CR chapter primary members, or children or grandchildren of Caesar Rodney chapter primary members, and in good standing, are also invited to apply. 

Applicants must have a minimum, cumulative grade point average of 3.4 on a 4.0 scale through the last previously completed semester. Participation in leadership or community service activities and athletic programs or extracurricular activities is also required.

Applicants must submit an essay or create a three- to four-minute video on some aspect of or topic related to Delaware’s role in the American Revolution.

Applications will be judged on the overall submission.
