Southern Delaware School of the Arts to stage musical Feb. 22-23

Presenting ‘Sally Sells Seashells (and You Can Too!)’
February 15, 2019

Southern Delaware School of the Arts will present “Sally Sells Seashells (and You Can Too!),” a new musical, at 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 22, and 12 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 23. The school is at 27 Hosier St., Selbyville.

Pre-sale tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for children. Tickets at the door are $7 for adults and $4 for children. Doors will open 30 minutes prior to show time.

What happens when a new girl moves into a beach town and convinces all of the kids that she can help them make their lives better and gain independence from their parents by earning their own money? She convinces them that she can help them make their fortune by selling their most abundant natural resource – seashells. They just have to pay to take her courses, and at the annual summer festival, they will all become rich.

Sound too good to be true? Then it probably is. Find out how becoming an adult too early isn’t all it’s made out to be. Family relationships and friendships all mix together for a happy ending.

The cast of 65 talented students is led by Hailey Mack as Sally, Lena Bellistri as Tam, and Collin Stephens as Slater. Contact director Lynne Southmayd at 302-436-1066 for more information.
