St. Peter’s Lewes announces Holy Week and Easter services

 St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Lewes invites the community to its Holy Week worship services and activities for all ages. Wearing masks is encouraged.

Palm Sunday services with a procession of the palms will be held at 8 and 10 a.m., April 2. The Last Supper reenactment will take place during the 10:15 a.m. Iona service in the parish hall. 

A choral Tenebrae service is set for 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 5.

A Maundy Thursday Eucharist service with foot washing will be held at 7 p.m., April 6.

A Good Friday liturgy is set for 12 p.m., April 7, with a Taizé Prayer Around the Cross service at 7 p.m. in the parish hall. 

The Great Vigil of Easter begins at 7 p.m., Saturday, April 8.

On Easter Sunday, April 9, festal choral Eucharist services are set for 8 and 10 a.m., with a family Eucharist Iona service at 10:30 a.m. in the parish hall. An Easter egg hunt will be held in St. Peter’s Square immediately following the last service of the morning.
