St. Peter’s in Lewes to hold cookie walk Dec. 15

December 9, 2018

Fans of scrumptious holiday goodies are eagerly anticipating the St. Peter’s cookie walk set for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 15, in the parish hall at the corner of Second and Mulberry streets in downtown Lewes.

Hundreds of homemade, beautifully decorated holiday cookies will be for sale, including sugar cookies, gingerbread men, chocolate chubbies, molasses crinkles, peppermint wedding cookies, shortbread and toffee almond sandies, to name just some of the varieties. Cookie aficionados can fill a large box for $12 or a small one for $8. Those who come early will be able to choose from the best selection.

All proceeds will benefit the St. Peter’s choir and Feed the Children Heart and Soul, an outreach ministry founded at St. Peter’s that provides nutritious food, books and school supplies to children in need in the local area. Feed the Children Heart and Soul partners with organizations such as Primeros Pasos early learning center in Georgetown, Food Bank of Delaware, and the Cape Henlopen Community Bookmobile.
