Stacy A. Wiseman, beloved wife, mother

Stacy A. Wiseman, daughter of the late Anne D. Schmidt, passed away Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, and her brother, Jeffrey E. Schmidt. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, David G. Wiseman; daughter and daughter-in-law, Jordane and Alexa Irazabal; son and son-in-law, Dylan Wiseman and Roland Dimaya; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Jerry Potts; nephews, Carter and Paxton Potts; sister- and brother-in-law, Dana Reese and Dominick DiPatre; niece and nephew, Jessica and Grey Reese; and her beloved dog, Willow.

For the majority of her career, Stacy worked in elder care, directing facilities throughout the state of Delaware. She was most proud of her work in memory care and remained a passionate advocate for those suffering from dementia until she died. More recently, she served as executive director at AMS of Delaware, where she loved her colleagues and clients.

The family would like to thank Christiana Hospital staff, particularly the 3D and 7E floor nurses, who showed incredible kindness during the last months of Stacy’s life as she bravely battled cancer.

Stacy’s body will be cremated, and a private memorial service will be held in springtime according to her wishes.
