Susan Jane McKenna, friend to all

Susan Jane McKenna, 73, of Milton passed away peacefully Dec. 11, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Royal and Jeanne McKenna; her grandparents, Herbert and Daisy Fett, and Donald and Grace McKenna. Susan is survived by her loving dog, Sophie; her sisters, Jeanne Floeckher (Peter), Mary Elizabeth McKenna (Robert), Sarah Minich (Dale); her brother, Michael McKenna (Robin); and several nieces and nephews.

Susan was born Aug. 16, 1948, in Brooklyn, N.Y. After growing up in Huntington, N.Y., Susan attended Chamberlain College. She lived and worked in New York City for 26 years working for Frederick Adkins. She also lived in Princeton, N.J., and worked for Nikii International in product development in the home furnishings industry.

After retiring in 2013, Susan moved to Milton, where she enjoyed playing bridge, shopping, reading, crafting, and decorating for Christmas.

Susan will be remembered the world over for singing “Don’t Cry for Me, Argentina.”

Susan was a friend to all.

There will be a memorial celebration Saturday, March 5, at St. Jude the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes.
