Sussex Academy employees and families supported the annual Caroling on The Circle food drive by collecting nonperishable items for community members in need.
The drive is held in conjunction with Caroling on The Circle, a long-standing tradition hosted by Sussex County Council and the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce.
One of Sussex Academy’s core values allows students to develop social consciousness through service and community partnerships, which aligns with the county’s goal to help those in need in the local area, said Head of School Kyle Bentley.
“Thank you to our families and employees who donated to this community effort to help stock pantries and nonprofit organizations that serve Delawareans in need, particularly during this holiday season,” Bentley said.
Sussex Academy is a tuition-free, public charter school in Georgetown.
