Following an 11-3 loss to Conrad April 11, Sussex Academy baseball bounced back in a major way, tagging Milford with a 13-3 six-inning loss at Delaware Tech April 14.

A seven-run first inning paved the way for the big victory while the defense and pitchers kept the Bucs at bay.

Senior Victor Goodhue started and went four innings, giving up three hits and one run while striking out six. Sophomore Mason Glover closed the game by firing four strikeouts across the final two innings.

Senior Laine Roberts led the offense with three hits and two RBIs. His twin, Maddox, collected a pair of hits, as did juniors Canaan Mears and Cole Bunting. Whenever a Seahawks reached base, they were feeling rather runnerish. Sussex Academy stole a dozen bags in this contest. Sophomore Ben Tollett, who walked three times, picked up a hat trick on the bases. Goodhue, Glover, and Derek Sachs each had a pair of steals. Zach Brittingham, who also doubled, swiped one bag, as did Laine Roberts and Mears.
