Sussex County Realtor Susan Giove to lead state association
Dr. Susan N. Giove, a Sussex County Realtor and associate broker with Mann and Sons Inc., was installed Jan. 28 as the 2022 president of the 4,200-member Delaware Association of Realtors. All the organization’s officers and directors for the year were also installed.
As president, Giove will preside at all meetings of the DAR board of directors and executive committee, and will serve as an ex officio member of all DAR committees and work groups. In her capacity as president, Giove will serve as the official spokesperson for the association on issues related to the real estate industry as well as local residential and commercial markets in Delaware. She also will represent DAR and its members on the National Association of Realtors board of directors, and at local, state and national functions.
A native of Queens, N.Y., Giove earned a doctorate in education from the Teachers College of Columbia University, and is a certified adult nurse practitioner. A Realtor since 2006, Giove has served in leadership roles at both the Sussex County Association of Realtors and the statewide association. She holds multiple professional designations and certifications from the National Association of Realtors. Giove is active in community outreach organizations across Sussex County and the Maryland shore. She is a charter member of the Rehoboth Beach Sunrise Rotary Club, having held numerous leadership roles including district governor. She has been a recipient of the club’s Distinguished Service Award and the Citation for Meritorious Service to the Rotary Foundation.
The full slate of 2022 DAR officers includes President-elect Christine Steele, Sussex County; Vice President Scott Farnan, New Castle County; Treasurer Jake Lipton, New Castle County, and CEO/Secretary Wesley T. Stefanick.
Directors from Sussex County also installed include Tiffany Carver-O’Malley, Lindsay Dodge, Adriane Gallagher, Lisa Mathena and George Thomasson.
