Sussex Gardeners enjoy living flower arrangement demo

Sussex County Master Gardener Carol Johnson demonstrated how to create a living flower arrangement at the Sussex Gardeners March meeting.

In a lined basket, Johnson arranged potted plants and greens to form an arrangement that will continue to grow and flower in its container.

Founded in 1937, Sussex Gardeners is one of the oldest garden clubs in the United States. Its members have an interest in gardening, horticulture, landscape and floral design, and civic and environmental responsibility. Community outreach programs involve garden therapy, environmental education and civic beautification.
