Sussex Tech Adult Education offers after-school courses for high school students to earn certificates in various fields. Courses are open to all Sussex County juniors and seniors.

Sussex Technical High School students are not eligible to participate in this course, but plans are being developed to include Sussex Tech CNA students in the future. This program includes 25 clinical hours, and students take the State of Delaware certification test at the end of the course.

Electrocardiogram studies will be offered during the spring semester, with hybrid courses to include coursework on Schoology, Zoom meetings and in-person labs. A national certification examination will be taken at the end of the course.

Forklift Certification and Training, currently underway, offers classroom theory, forklift driving, testing and licensing.

Marine Service Technology is an eight-week course that includes the Certified Yamaha Outboard Technician examination.

Phlebotomy is offered through a hybrid class, with a national examination taken at the end of the course.

Small Engine Repair will begin in March 2026.

Registration is $100 per course, except Forklift, which is $35. Students who earn a B or higher in any course, excluding Forklift, will receive a refund of the $100 course fee.
